This Juvenile Red-tail Hawk is really tracking something. Maybe a bird or squirrel. Sometimes, our dogs notice them in the trees and start barking. They just want to play, and the Hawks just consider if they might be tasty. 🪶

#Stunday post with some backstory, since I'm new here... 3 years ago, my wife got me an old #Nikon #D700. I took it on a work trip to SoCal and struggled (kit lens, low DR, auto exp, etc...), but this was one of the 1st pics that I edited and said, "This can be really rewarding when I get it right".
