uff...& even if there were a vaccine, the virus reassorts & changes so rapidly, hopes of vaccinating our way out of it--if we even had the disease surveillance and infrastructure needed--is just not likely at all. in the US, you can have a backyard flock of 999 birds without requiring oversight.
