5b Assuming that your culture is the best when visiting other places and expecting locals to fall in line with your expectations. Taking the worst of us —people we would probably have arrested—as representative of all of us. Online, assuming that everything and everyone is American. We are not.
5. Visiting countries + disrespecting local culture eg. refusing correction when you make an error, expecting locals to forsake their families for your comfort in a natural disaster, treating people like s— workers because you haven’t taken the time to understand the culture.
4b. The beauty in humanity is from the diversity, you are beautiful with your thinner lips, flatter chest, Streisand nose, less curvy butt. Human faces are designed to move with delightful micro expressions that tell us so much about each other. Also Black bodies are not a costume. Stop it.
4. While you can do whatever you want to your body remember that trends change and unlike earrings or even tattoos many of the new body modifications are extremely expensive to reverse. You don’t have Kardashian money, changing your mind when the trend changes likely won’t be as easy for you.
