Noem is gone, sort of, but there are lessons to be learned from her tenure, how she was fired, and why it didnβt happen earlier, why the Senate confirmed her in the first place, that we canβt afford to ignore joycevance.substack.com/p/fired-but-...
π§΅Feels like shouting into the void, but it is essential to note that the Trump/Rubio gutting of the State Department and blowtorching of US diplomatic capacity and credibility is an accelerant to this spiraling war and will seriously undercut US/allied efforts to pick up the pieces after. 1/

Look, it's just purely a coincidence that Donald Trump started a war just days before the release of FBI 302s of interviews of a victims claiming he raped her when she was 13 years old.

Curent thinking: at this moment, and this will probably change- the national average and your local gas prices should start to slow their increases late this weekend/early next week- but highly likely to change. Price cycling markets may HOLD for the time being.
I had said earlier this week that (at the time) I did not believe airfares would be impacted by the situation- but definitely feeling differently now- harder to measure, fuel is a main cost to airlines and jet fuel has surged $1.25-$1.75/gal over the last few days.
This amount is double what anon MoC were saying 2 days ago. And Trump is escalating.
This administration doesnβt take advice from anyone with expertise or sanity or a 5th grade reading comprehension
This is not good.
My advice to the Administration: With the U.S. uncomfortably close to a recession -- and already in a jobs recession -- don't do anything rash that could make things worse.
The media always treats the more sensational Trump accusations in the Epstein files with a level of skepticism that would be appropriate for Jimmy Carter, not the guy who bragged about sexual assault on tape, was adjudicated guilty of sexual assault, and is currently overseeing murder dot gov.
A terrible February jobs report. The U.S. economy LOST 92,000 jobs last month, while the unemployment rate rose to 4.4%, one of the highest levels seen in the past few years.
December was revised down to -17,000 jobs, while January was revised to 126,000.
Maybe this is just me, but I kind of think massive military operations, in which we're demanding unconditional surrender as the outcome, probably should be authorized by Congress.
This is a real video from the official White House account on a war that is currently killing people. I donβt know how the US is going to come back from this.
The post was βJUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY. πΊπΈ π₯β
"Everyone is 12" theory remains undefeated.
At this point, I think there might literally be a 7th grade boy running White House comms.
Our economy is bleeding jobs. Prices are up, especially for gas. Yet the White House prioritizes tax cuts for billionaires, while launching a reckless new Middle East war.
It doesn't have to stay this way - not if the American people make our voices heard.
What a nightmare. The U.S. economy has been shedding jobs overall since April 2025. From May 2025 through February 2026, the net change in employment is now -19,000 jobs.
Check the back of the tariff shelf β¦ it could be there or in Qatar .
Collecting your money illegally was so much easier.
Have they checked the tariff shelf we kept hearing about.
It could be farther back on the shelf :)
The fuck you mean? Put the money in the bag.
ALERT: #GasPrices appear to be rising to $3.69/gal in #Michigan today. This is a price cycle due to the Iran situation spiking prices.
9 out of 10 MAGA women say, Trump is the only man they would leave their brother for.
With Qatar raising the prospect of $150 crude, our @pippastevens.cnbc.com says that would -- theoretically -- put retail gasoline somewhere in the $5.50 range.
