February reading stats are in! Got really into Sabaa Tahir’s Ember In The Ashes series, although haven’t quite finished book 4 yet.

Yes! Firstly because I love High Rollers and want to support you all. Secondly because the world of Altheya is so cool and I want that extra lore (and beautiful artwork!). Thirdly because maybe I’ll be able to play a game in the world one day.

Thought I was getting better at parallel parking outside my new house but tonight I deemed the space my two neighbours had left for me to not be do-able for me. In my head it was only slightly bigger than my car. In reality someone else could probably do it. Maybe future me.

Played my Switch this evening for the first time in a couple of months. My hands hurt. I’m not cut out to be a gamer.

Is there a word for when the main character in the book you’re reading gets betrayed by someone they thought was their ally and you’re weirdly pleased about it because you suspected them from the start (the previous book)? Also just love the anguish.

I keep forgetting that Bluesky is a thing.

The reason it’s a rainbow is because I also made ‘shelves’ for each month and the backdrop is a different colour to go with the season.

Walked past a cat without saying hello because there was someone coming towards me and I thought ‘They’ll probably think I’m weird if I stop to pet the cat.’ Walked on, heard the cat meow and turned around to see other person petting cat. Moral of the story: Always pet the cat.

I cancelled my Spotify subscription after 10+ years a few weeks ago. But just know that my top artist was the low-fi studio ghibli music I listened to on repeat for one month and then never again all year. 🤷‍♀️

The Usagi Yojimbo Saga: Book 4 by Stan Sakai

Usagi Yojimbo is SO good! Just finished Book 4 in the ‘Saga’ and it was definitely the best yet. I love tales of samurai and traditional Japanese mythology / folklore, so combining that with this lovable rabbit ronin is just the perfect read for me. Emotional ending too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
