Made in Ireland a long time ago. Cats, books, tea, spotty bananas. Daily recorder of #3goodthings, celebrating the tiny joys. Pub by Hachette Ireland and Sphere Books UK. 23rd novel, Second Chances, out now. Thinking about next. Be kind, it's easy.

Photo from the early 1970s of a man on horseback negotiating the Birmingham inner ring road at Holloway Head
Iβm searching for the original and/or rights owner of this fabulous picture of Birmingham in the early 1970s. It popped up on my Instagram feed, but Iβve been unable to track it down.
Any leads? Iβm really hoping to use it in a book.
(And would much appreciate a RT please)

@roisinm.bsky.social In these terrible times in this world, it was an absolute joy to read this book. I loved the character of Lydia and her story. It made me cry but it also filled me with happiness. We need more books like yours, a good story, so well written. Thank you Roisin. π
Thanks so much Michelle x
Thanks - and she won't notice the messy bits!

Grand niece, dressed up as Alice in Wonderland.
Knitted cat with green dungarees.
Rear view of cat. Tail is hilarious, and not a little phallic. π³π³

1. More bad drawing, this time in Lissycasey School as part of World Book Day. Delightful.
2. Grand niece as Alice in Wonderland for WBD. β€οΈπ
3. The fruit of my labours since I joined the Stitch & Bitch. For Alice, obviously. Don't zoom in - it's full of mistakes.

Me telling a story and drawing along.
Holding a copy of Second Chances in mid-sign at O'Mahonys Bookshop in Limerick.
Spring bouquet. Adorable.
#3goodthings
1. Treated the infants of Our Lady of Lourdes school in Limerick to some of my very bad drawing.
2. Signed books in O'Mahonys bookshop afterwards.
3. Added daffs to the Aldi spring bouquet. It is a thing of wonder. The SCENT.
Great book. And yes.

3. Perfect spring day, cold and bright, so after hanging up my laptop I pulled on the layers and walked to the sea. Magnificent today, all foam and crashing waves. Snap doesn't come close to doing it justice.
Tasty.
Not yet.
