Across the Board and in hot areas, developer/landowner judicial review was sharply up with public/NGO activity significantly down
An CoimisiΓΊn PleanΓ‘la saw a more modest decrease in JR activity, down only 4% but this was due to very large increases in developer litigation
There were 23% fewer judicial reviews and 5% fewer enforcement cases in 2025 compared with 2024
Overall there were 19% fewer new planning and environment cases compared to 2024 which was the first year of the Planning and Environment Court which formally opened in December 2023
