I think LLMs as a technology are probably here to stay, and will remain situationally useful once the hype dies - they're good at SOME things. I do think Tech Barons will stop trying to force them everywhere within the decade, but not without majorly crashing the economy when the bubble bursts :/

If anyone was wondering, the ~23% reduction in ICE agents in Minnesota apparently doesn't include the ones down the street that are lurking, now as I type this, as vulnerable folks are getting their kids to the school bus this morning.
We cannot rest until ICE is gone, entirely.
Predicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.
