Mask-off corporate bootlicking that causes these fucks to junk the most vulnerable members of their audience at the first sign of resistance aside:
Did you know that people are now looking back on the movie "Robots" from Bluesky as a story about the broken medical care system?
It isn't about being told a story, it's about what you get from it.
I hate that entire groups are being prevented from existing in mainstream art because of roughly 200 shrill lunatics who can't be normal about anything.
...It's a shame that whatever story comes out, it's really up to the consideration and empathy of the individual to take a message from a story and not everyone thinks the same way...
We WANT to control narrative because we always feel alone and angry in a fight even if we aren't.
As a person, I'm always met with challenges, questions, problems, mistakes and learning experiences. It is impossible to think for someone else or know how someone else is going to react to that story or even think about every single scenario at once.
As a storyteller, I'm not here to tell others HOW to think. You have to get something out of whatever I make. I've not, ever will, nor should have any control over how others feel or think. I am just offering thoughts and takes over challenges I've experienced to the best of my abilities.

Hey, do you remember when there was a whole stink over maybe 3 seconds of a gay couple in Lightyear? Where one theater even hilariously tried to skip through it on their DCP, and ended up missing a chunk of it as a result?
I can't wait for all these public shows of cowardice to be over.
It probably isn't surprising that Pixar's leadership are afraid to rock the boat in any real way when you look at the line up of sequels.
That things like Hoppers still occasionally appear from Pixar is miraculous.
This article sucks to hear especially considering Pixar's latest movie had a VERY important message about feeling alone in rallying for good causes or fighting against adversity...
I am curious what was "too controversial" they had to change greater messages over environmental concerns.
The moment people praised the hostile takeover of WB because they hated the concept of "making the Looney Tunes gay at Netflix" you KNOW what this is all about... Their villains are empathy, decency, knowledge and history.
Remember when Iger said this?
This is just the result of an administration browbeating its employees under threat of layoffs over some 'mystical boogeyman' that is a threat to their administration.
I mean beyond all of the loathsome obvious shit about allllll of this, the director of the fucking INSIDE fucking OUT movies saying βWeβre making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars of therapy" is a level of self-unawareness I can only marvel at
Every time I take my kid to check out a new park, I am astonished by how great the playgrounds are. Some look like the one pictured below, but most have much cooler stuff than we ever had as kids. So much online freak grievance is just βyou need to go outside and participate in actual societyβ

I would argue they knew exactly what they were doing, which was deliberately sabotaging needed public works programs by offering snake oil they never had any intention of delivering.
