After a month of clouds there were 2 nights back to back that were clear. I had 2 targets that rose at different times. So instead of pausing the session I just targeted the Sombrero Galaxy. I was using my WO CAT91 for the night so here’s the Sombrero Galaxy in Wide Field. #astrophotography

I recently bought a couple lenses that I'm planning on doing some wide field astro photo's with. But since the weather has been crappy I haven't been able to use them. Decided to test them on these test subjects.

Latest capture of The Seagull Nebula (IC 2177). The Seagull Nebula is an emission nebula in the region between the constellations Monoceros and Canis Major. Roughly 3,800 light years away. Total integration time is 8 hours. #astrophotography #photography

I've wanted a solar scope for a while. Picked this up from someone on cloudynights. Can't wait to use it. #astronomy

First sessions of 2026. It's been cloudy here but was able to get a couple nights out with my CAT 91. Here's The Tadpole, The Spider and The Fly nebulas in SHO. Total integration time 9 hours. #astrophotography #photography

The Crab Nebula, a supernova remanent in the constellation Tauris that's 6,500 light years away from earth. This is a combination of RGB stars and data gathered using my LeXtreme for the nebula. I used my Apertura CarbonStar Ritchey-Chretien 8. Total integration time is 5h 20m. #astrophotography

Apertura has two different lines of CarbonStar telescopes. First being Newtonian's and the second being Ritchey-Chretien telescopes. This image was taken using the 8" Ritchey-Chretien version.

Holy diffraction spikes Batman! I was just testing my gear getting ready for an imaging session. There were some high clouds around but the Orion region was clear so I decided to point my CarbonStar RC8 to it and image for a little. #astrophotography

I hope those clouds disappear later because I'm ready. It's been a couple weeks since I've been able to image and I'd like to take the CarbonStar RC out tonight. I've also piggybacked my Canon T8i. #astrophotography

Ever since I bought my first dedicated astro cam I haven't used my dslr. I just found this dovetail adapter on Amazon. Can't wait to try this piggyback setup.

This is my first attempt at capturing 3I/Atlas with my William Optics CAT91. It was suppose to be clear all night but some clouds rolled in early morning and my asiair was only able to capture 10 usable frames. Hopefully I can get another session to capture more data in soon. #astrophotography

I used my William Optics Cat 91 which is 448mm focal length.

I also recorded the processing session. There's no audio in the video but it gives you an idea on what the workflow was for this. #astrophotography

NGC 1333 also known as the Embryo Nebula is a reflection nebula in the constellation Perseus. It's roughly 967 light years away. This is 4h 35m of integration time. Seeing conditions weren't perfect so I'd like to come back during a new moon. #astrophotography #photography

I really wanted to use my CAT91 and decided to point it to The Witch Head Nebula. At 448mm focal length the CAT 91 really gets you up close. Total integration time is 6h 40m. I really like how it turned out. Next time I think I’ll go for a mosaic. #astrophotography #photography

My latest Andromeda Galaxy. Processing galaxies is particularly difficult for me. So that means I need to spend more time on them. Total integration time is 8h 45m. #astrophotography #photography

California Nebula (NGC1499) an emission nebula in the constellation Perseus. Total integration time is 6h 20m. I split this up between 2 sessions with my lextreme and lsynergy filters. I didn't get as much time with the lsynergy as I would of liked but there's always next time. #astrophotography

The Sculptor Galaxy in HaRGB. I was able to do a dedicated Ha session the other night. I was able to finally process it and combine it with my original RGB data. Here's a cropped version and a more wide field version. #astrophotography #astronomy

The Rosette Nebula aka Caldwell 49 in SHO. At 5,000 light-years away from us it's over 100 light-years across. Total integration time, split between 2 filters is just over 8 hours. It took me two separate sessions to capture since I don't have a filter wheel. #astrophotography #photography

An updated version of The Pleiades (M45). Another one that I look forward to every year. Made up of over 1000 stars, depending on seeing conditions, you can see anywhere between 7 to 14 stars with the naked eye. #astrophotography #photography

We've had some nice weather lately so I'm taking advantage of the long clear nights. Here's the Sculptor Galaxy. At 11 million light years away it's one of the closest galaxies to us. Hopefully I can come back to it soon with the lextreme to add some Ha to it. #astrophotography #photography

The Crescent Nebula (NGC6888) in SHO. Just like the Horsehead from yesterday I used my LeXtreme and LSynergy filters on 2 separate nights. If you look close enough you can also see the Soap Bubble nebula. #astrophotography #photography

The Horsehead Nebula. This is the first time I’ve tried doing SHO with a OSC using a combination of my Optolong LeXtreme and LSynergy. Due to clouds I spent 2 separate nights imaging. I was able to use 55 Γ— 300s frames from the LeXtreme but only 29 with the Synergy. #astrophotography #photography
