This is another version where it actually reacts to physical lights around the object, though it's quite finicky to get to work with colored objects, I haven't found a great way to separate lighting information from the object's color perfectly
Today's #gamedev experiment, post-process rim lights on characters. Saw another tech artist wonder about how they did it in No Rest for the Wicked, and although I didn't know how it was made I was curious to find out
Finished RE9 therefore I can browse social media again. Amazing game, absolute cinema, far up there among my favorite RE titles, I find it hard to rank them because looking back on it so many of them are so great I donโt like to sort them. Will replay for sure!
And it's always the most inconvenient times like you have to plan your day around being on time and then they just don't

AAAA TYSM Chappu!!! Part of the animation was inspired by the old dvd screensaver haha I hope it plays a part in addictiveness of it all
For the prism I wanted to play around with light dispersion so I made a material where you can animate how intense the refraction and dispersion are to get funky visuals
The lava lamp is just animated noise so it doesn't "make sense" if you look at it too long lol
Plans got canceled bc of snow so I finished this lil side project playing around with feedback loops and refraction. The main effect is just accomplish by showing a recording of a recording of a recording of a recor-
