I think Sparking Zero or Tekken 8 wins just due to sheer quantity. MvC winning would be very important to Capcom's perception of the franchise though.

Sega's dpads from my experience are much more comfortable than the standard cross. For fighting games for example, you can glide your thumb easily across the four directions for motion inputs. It's why the Genesis and Saturn controllers were considered some of the best.
