Here's what worries me. The U.S. is less oil-dependent than our peers, and so Wall Street has responded far less to the war in Iran than financial markets abroad. When the country calling the shots feels only a small share of the pain, that's a dangerous asymmetry.

I wandered the streets, helped a woman change her flat tire, got ushered into a restaurant with tuxedoed waiters to wash my hands, strolled under the Arc de Triumph & beautiful young lady gave me a rose before blushing & rushing off (maybe it was a dare).
I’ve always rather liked and respected geraniums. This metaphor, while colourful, is overly flattering to a percentage of US society.
