The solution is easy: spend 10 minutes a couple times a year voting for the best person, and every other day doing other more impactful higher commitment work.
Voting takes ten minutes, means very little, and it does not preclude you doing any other kind of organizing.

Yeah? I think lots of people still act on the assumption that the further left candidate will be weaker in the general, but that has not been born out in recent elections.

But, didn’t he collaborate with republicans to disenfranchise voters and steal the election from her?
We can. Not directly, but there are mechanisms to remove him. And Vance, and replace them with someone much better.
The trouble is: we need to pressure the democrats to pressure the republicans to participate in those processes.
A real opposition party wouldn’t make us do that first step.
