Why the focus on winning Republicans from Brookfield?
Can we get a Democratic nominee who is able to rehabilitate the utterly failed Democrat brand and mobilize the base?
That’s how to actually win power, not just seats in a gridlocked do-nothing government.

And with that it’s over, it’s all up to the jury now.

The presence of genocide deniers and zio-fascists in the Democratic Party is a liability that, more than anything else in our control, casts doubt on our success in the 2026 elections.
There is no tent large enough for survivors of genocide and perpetrators of genocide.
Democrats must choose.

Remove this person and his entire administration from office.
There is a removal process, which no one in the political establishment is seriously pursuing or mobilizing the public for.
That makes them complicit.

There are two big things we need to do to stop trumps plan.
- Vote in huge numbers so it’s harder for him.
- Organize community defense to resist like the twin cities did.
If one appeals to you more than the other, focus on it, but support both. Each is easier if the other is also happening.

Fuck hebdo and Quran shitters.

The election is months away. Voting takes ten minutes.
Yes, do it, but also: can we talk about what we’re doing to fight fascism every day between now and then? And every day after?

If Tom Tiffany actually cared about protecting kids from pedophiles he’d be refusing Trump’s endorsement and filing impeachment papers.

Debating endlessly (from either side) about this trivial minimum effort political action is silly, irrational.
It feels like fetishization.

I’m starting to wonder if this ap is just bots baiting each other into debates about voting and elections in order to drive engagement.
The solution is easy: spend 10 minutes a couple times a year voting for the best person, and every other day doing other more impactful higher commitment work.

Voting takes ten minutes, means very little, and it does not preclude you doing any other kind of organizing.
Why the obsession with voting / not voting?

US Senator Tim Sheehy collaborated with law enforcement to forcibly remove anti-war demonstrator and ex-Marine Brian McGinnis from a meeting of the Armed Services subcommittee. McGinnis is a candidate for the Senate representing the Green Party.

A red background, with a black and white cutout headshot of Bryan Steil in the lower left corner, and text above and to the right that reads “The new GOP election bill is one of the biggest attacks on voting rights ever…and it was introduced by Wisconsin’s own Rep. Bryan Steil. Call Steil and demand that he stop trying to silence voters: (202) 225-3031”
MAGA Republicans' SAVE Act threatens to block millions of voters from making their voices heard in our elections—and Wisconsin Rep. Bryan Steil is leading the effort.
Call 202-225-3031 & tell Steil to protect our freedom to vote, not prevent people from voting.

No. It doesn’t. Jasmine Crockett was also talking about class. Talrico won by appropriating most of her message, but putting it behind a white bipartisan package, and benefiting from egregious gop cheating.
If he wins in Nov on her message it’ll prove what you said.

Yeah? I think lots of people still act on the assumption that the further left candidate will be weaker in the general, but that has not been born out in recent elections.
I think the gop insiders who are doing deeper polling know they’ll lose and want another collaborator, rather than a fighter.

And THEN they threw out the votes from those extended hours, including votes from people who were in line at 7:00 and would have counted had they not extended the hours.

We can. Not directly, but there are mechanisms to remove him. And Vance, and replace them with someone much better.
The trouble is: we need to pressure the democrats to pressure the republicans to participate in those processes.
A real opposition party wouldn’t make us do that first step.
