Beyond excited to talk about Apollo DSKYs and modern web applications this June!
Just updated the final speaker lineup on our site. This conference is taking off!
We are putting the final touches on our speaker lineup. Even though it was expected, it was extremely difficult to make those final choices. We are so excited for you to see what's coming. Stay tuned!
About 440 Passports left for US.
Get them at @blueridgeruby.com, @blastoffrails.bsky.social, @rbqconf.bsky.social, and @xoruby.com π
Special thanks to @jeremysmith.co for helping out with the logistics of it all π«Ά
Impromptu site redesign is live!
@inazarova.bsky.social and I had a chat about the @sfruby.com! We go deep into venues, marketing, and so many more conference details. Check it out!

The best thing about our new "Things to Do" page is it is powered by one of our sponsors! Typesense is here to help you figure out your Albuquerque itinerary. π
CFP is now officially closed! Thank you to everyone who submitted a talk! We are so excited to review them all and see this conference really take shape!
Don't forget you have until January 11th to submit a talk for Blastoff Rails next summer!

What are you building? How are you building it? Inspire us! Awe us! Submit your CFP for Blastoff Rails 2026!

Got to see both our keynote speakers together at @sfruby.com
@inazarova.bsky.social and Kieran Klaassen!
I have talked to multiple people who mentioned that because everything is moving so fast it is difficult to submit a good CFP for an AI talk that won't happen for several months. So I am trying out a new thing!
CFP Update! If you want to give an AI talk but donβt want to lock yourself into a topic that may be irrelevant in 6 months, we are accepting proposals that simply say you want to do an AI talk, you don't know what it will be, and here is why you are the best person to give it anyway!
I sat down with Amanda Perino of the Rails Foundation to ask her how Rails World comes together. She really pays attention to the finer details of the conference experience and I really enjoyed this interview. I hope you will to!

If you are thinking of submitting a talk to the Blastoff Rails cfp, listen to this episode of Remote Ruby for a peak behind the scenes!

Early bird tickets are also on sale if you don't want to be a speaker but want to experience the fun!

Our CFP is officially live! It is open for a couple months so you can ponder your best ideas (or several) but don't overthink it. Also, if your talk is selected we pay for your flight and hotel!
Another fantastic interview with a Ruby conference organizer! This time with Hana Harencarova. I really hope I can make it to Helvetic Ruby someday. Their 2026 event will be in November in Zurich!

@cirdes.bsky.social is one of those people that knocks things out of the park. He did it with @tropicalonrails.bsky.social and he did it with this interview. Glad I got to chat and get some of this conference organizing knowledge. Please check it out!β¨rubyconferenceproject.com/2025-08-08-i...
We updated our sponsor page with a fun package builder! Play with it, try to break it, send it to a potential sponsor!

When you ask anyone about organizing a conference in the Ruby or Rails space @andycroll.bsky.social's name eventually comes up. His annual conference, @brightonruby.com, is something to aspire to. I could have spent hours on this call. Thank you Andy!

His conference, Friendly.rb is in less than 2 months!

I interviewed @adrianthedev.com a couple weeks ago in my effort to learn how to organize conferences from the best. It is hard to find a more helpful and friendly person out there. Thank you Adrian for your time and attention.

And just to sweeten the deal every attendee automatically gets free tickets to the museum π
The paperwork is signed and the deposit has been made. We officially have dates and a venue! Blastoff Rails will be happening June 11th and 12th of 2026 at the Albuquerque Museum. The location and quality of this venue are exactly what I was looking for.

I have to give credit to @jeremysmith.co for this idea. I am going to be handing these out at RailsConf in Philadelphia next week. Yes that's a free rocket sticker!
@jasonswett.bsky.social organized Sin City Ruby for several years and I was able to be there for the last two so it was a special pleasure to get his thoughts on conference organizing. Thank you Jason for giving your time and knowledge!
