The Iran War ends when Trump gets bored
Dear Shabana, I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank. You said: βA party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to make a perilous crossing on small boats.β I suppose I shouldnβt be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division. When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney. As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I filled water tanks and picked up litter. What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country. Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it. It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and croissants to refugees and food parcels. When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She said βwe have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers whilst risking death on the seas.β She said βmaybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on the boats. And again, the Home Secretary is not entirely wrong when β¦
Dear Shabana,
Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.
Cruelty to immigrants is not what my party stands for. Itβs time for True Labour, not Blue Labour. @stellacreasy.bsky.social speaking for I think a majority of Labour members against the "performative cruelty" of the Home Secretary www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
I couldn't quote you no Dickens, Shelley or Keats
'Cause it's all been said before
This video is a great one to watch.

Jacobs: The Trump administration doesnβt give a shit about the Iranian peopleβ¦ They are literally deporting people back to Iran who fled the brutal Iranian regime.
He doesnβt care about human rights anywhere β not here in the United States, not in Iran, not anywhere else.
To avoid attacks on people like me, we will adopt the policies of the people who attack people like me.

The lack of self awareness here is off the scale.
I hate it when Donald Trump is trending and it's not because ...
Iβve spent years, decades, obsessing over the Bush Administrationβs Iraq WMD lies, writing about them, debunking them.
I can think of no lie about Iraq WMDs told by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al that comes even close to the enormity and absurdity of this lie from Donald Trump.
She's deranged.
WTF?
"It is fraud" -- Neguse nails Kristi Noem for lying during her testimony yesterday when she told the Senate that DHS's $220m ad campaign starring her "went out to a competitive bid" (it did not), and tells her "I think there's gonna be accountability" (1/2)
Neguse demolishes Noem (2/2)
This how it's done. Breathtakingly good ...
Bravo
On issue after issue, we see that Labour voters share most values with Green and Lib Dem voters and almost none with Reform voters. And yet Labour's strategy does not reflect that. The dissonance drives me mad on a daily basis. How many times can one underline the obvious?
Spanish PM Pedro SΓ‘nchez on Iran: βSpain is against this disaster. Because we understand that governments are here to improve people's lives, to provide solutions to problems, not to make people's lives worse.

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:
- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.
Blithering idiot bullshitting ...
Well, you can see why the GOP was afraid to depose Hillary Clinton in public www.tiktok.com/t/ZTh7rGJFa/
This is the energy I was looking for in this hearing. This might be the greatest clip of a Senate hearing in history. bsky.app/profile/acyn...
Ossoff: "The president owes Americans a real explanation. 2am posts on Truth Social just aren't good enough when you're sending Americans into combat. He was dancing at his beach club the same night he ordered air crews to launch into combat & hours before our service members endured missile salvos"
It's like a Monty Python sketch. Attack before they even think of attacking you.
βFor all we know, we could be in the middle of Keir Starmerβs finest hourβ.
Starmerβs critics say he is imperiling the UKβs special relationship with the US...
But is it Donald Trump who's doing the damage?
This incoherent, incompetent imbecile is literally sending people to their deaths.
Am I getting this right? This is a ceremony for the families who lost loved ones and he's doing his standard stand-up comedy routine?
Is he pissed?
