Matrescence: giving a name to the birth of a mother
There is a word that describes the massive physical, psychological, and identity shift of becoming a mother. And it is not in the dictionary.
According to a study by Peanut app, 67% of mums haven’t heard of the word matrescence which describes the profound changes in identity, body, and emotions that accompany the transition into motherhood.
Yet, this word doesn’t exist in the dictionary.
