They faced off in Nov & our squad lost. Then they became teammates in another league. More than that, they became good friends. After the L today in League 1 they knew that if both their squads won tonight in League 2, that they'd end up playing vs one another again in the Final Four. Let's go!!!
Nothing in this world makes me hurt more than seeing my kids hurting. Opposite is also true. When they're happy & smiling, I'm happy & smiling. We ended the night on a great note. More games to play. Crazy thing is, his backcourt mate in League 1 is his next opponent in League 2. It's gonna be fun.
I told him they wouldn't have gone as far as they did w/o him. I then reminded him that we had another playoff game later on in League 2. I told him to take frustration of losing in League 1 as motivation & play better tonight & he damn sure did. Scored 14 & took a game saving charge at the end.
Off the no bullshit tho, I'm proud AF of my son. He plays with so much heart. That loss this afternoon gutted him, which gutted me. They lost by 2 pts. He scored 10 but missed 2 FTs with 4 mins left. His teammates also blew some FTs & layups & had some costly turnovers. But he blamed himself.

Been a long ass day running my son around to these basketball playoff games. Left the house at 8am this morning & got back home about an hour ago. His squad won the 9am quarterfinal game, but lost in the semis at 1pm in League 1. His squad in League 2 won a close game at 7pm & made the Final Four.
