Seeing this reminded me of a funny story. There's a billboard where the hospital shows the first and middle names of recently born kids and their birthdays. While waiting to see our daughter's back in 2016, we saw the name "Yukon Cornelius." I often wonder about little Yukon and what he's up to now.

The only thing I can think of is that the online provider took the name from one client and used it for another. Is there another option that I'm missing? At best, I'm confident this is unethical.

There's fine print claiming that I either inquired or they received my name from a testing agency. I didn't inquire, and I last took the SAT in 2002 under my real name.

Two things were odd about it:
1) I have never secret shopped this public system's online college, or any college in the system, before.
2) It was addressed to a name I used 2 years ago.

I've done quite a bit of secret shopping over the past decade, but I had something interesting arrive in the mail today. It was a postcard. 🧵

In Extraordinary Deal With Trump, Columbia U. Agrees to Pay $200 Million to Restore Funds The university said the government would resolve its investigations and restore most of the $400 million in research funding it had stripped from the institution.

Columbia University has handed over its undergraduate admissions process to Donald Trump and his MAGA allies, who will now decide at their sole discretion whether the university has admitted enough white people. It's no longer an independent institution.

A1: I didn't understand much. I knew that I needed a FAFSA and then I would get a bill and hope I had saved enough. Otherwise, it was a black box. I tried to overexplain to families to make sure they understood the timeline and what was needed/expected. #EMChat
