But the point is, in it’s current form, Ai is a net negative on the world right now, and until you let people with ethics have the rein, it is gonna stay that way.

Thats the rub, non of these ai companies are actually making any money and currently are only being kept alive by investors and speculation but even that is starting to fall apart. In the end the likely scenario is these companies are gonna end up going bust. Also the Orange cheeto has money in them
No it is not, but we can sure as heck use it much more etchically than it is now. But until you get the money making aspect out of it, it will continue to be used for selfish and greedy reasons. Which is why everyone is waiting for the bubble to burst
The other main issue is the environmental impact it is causing powering these data centers to make the ai models work. Add in the fact it’s negatively impacting consumers with ram an computer prices skyrocketing, and you can better understand why many people hate AI: The people who are behind it
In theory, there are cases where AI could do some good in the world, but the main problem is that isn’t what it’s being currently being used for. In the creative field AI has done nothing but destroyed people’s lively hoods and help steal independent artist’s works for greedy CEOs and EXs
