Yeah it's too neat. They set up a these rich, messy emotional stakes and then just threw it away because they don't have the episode count to work through it. Will suddenly developing theatre kid energy and doing a big coming out speech just felt out of line.

Tbh I find the presence of Brett Gelman more egregious. Noah Schnapp at least has the excuse of being young and stupid.
