Oh, thatβs a lovely idea! My eldest is 3 and my youngest just turned 8 months old; when they know what December is I might start a similar tradition with them. Until then, Iβve decided to put a Christmas wreath on the door in November to rile up the βItβs too early.β crowd. Iβll wait with the tree.

The 29th is a good date. Iβll put a wreath on the door next weekend and see how I get on. I think youβre right that if something brings a person joy then why not!

Bah! Humbug! Once Halloween or Bonfire Night has passed (or Thanksgiving, for some), it feels like any day is fair game for Christmas decorations. Of course, itβs a personal preference, but with all the grey skies weβve had here lately, a little festive cheer might do me some good. Iβll start small.

Oh, I say this all the time! I think itβs a subconscious way of trying to ease any potential anxiety someone might feel, even when itβs unlikely. Itβs like a preemptive reassurance.
