Illustration for @vaatividya.com 's new book, "Lore Bound: Elden Ring Explained", published by @tuneandfairweather.bsky.social . As their previous books, this one looks gorgeous!
Book will feature both my published art and new pieces like this one ๐
Book covers I made during this year.

Thanks a lot :)

So, here it is! Poster artwork I made for

Final image and the initial idea I submitted for approval.
The 6th Jazzy Finale will be in the June 20-22 weekend. This will be available for purchase for event attendees and ALSO online, more info below-
Update, just in case you get to use PS sometime: It seems to be brush related after all. I started getting the glitch again while using other brushes, and then back to normal when using "less problematic" brushes lmao. Problem kinda-solved!
I was trying to replicate and make a sample for you, and JUST NOW it decided to work perfectly ๐. This happens 99% of the time for me LMAO.
And I do think it must be related in some way related to Wacom/PS because when I used a Huion I didn't get that issue. Well, I'm ok for now I guess xD
Is this Photoshop? And if the answer is yes, how can you do a "hatching" type of rendering without the lines being accidentally connected to each other every time you draw them fast? (Photoshop+Wacom user here, I've never been able to properly hatch since... 2010?)
I can't really explain how, but it REALLY felt like a "new game". It was so crisp and non-sf2, I love it. And those portraits are ๐
The font! ๐
Besides the fact that I love this, as I do with all of your work, this one looks like it could be a really interesting version of "Frogger"
Disjointed is a very good word to describe it. Feels like they just went "let's put a lot of things that are conventionally perceived as cool!" before anything. FS usually shows concepts that are more solid and clearly defined. The animations don't help with the tone either, IMO.

two mario game princesses posed in smash bros game as if talking brown hair one (daisy) saying are you tired of (visibly edited) building character, don't you just want (visibly edited) some stuff to go well? as she gets up in the face of the blonde one (peach). This is an edit of an older meme that usually instead says Are You Tired of Being Nice?
Y ojo, tiene apenas 28 y ya es "EX" niรฑa rata, onda pa quรฉ mรกs piรฑufla el scope del artรญculo jajjajaj
Such a talented man
Este juego me lo pierdo sin falta ๐
Yeah the hip area is really tough to make look 3d enough! Without a good reference it's hell
Love the pose (very annoying angle to draw for me) and the gentle, cool fill light!
8) Make your own drawing/painting/animation/3d/photo/video/game/sculpture! At least -sometimes-
Peace out, gotta go back to convincing some clients to accept my design choices ๐
7) Of course we need to eat, so we work with clients and studios and groups of people. And then we are drained from those, and we just want to sleep or go outside, not stay and keep working on personal stuff after being exhausted. (ok maybe some of you weirdos do that, I can't, and I envy you).
6) So we (yes, me too) should try to work on our little stupid things every once in a while. Even if it's just doodles or a small series of simple images. It'll be the only time where we can try stuff without people forcing us to take the previous, safe, harmless, derivative route.
5) So basically, when you're working on that GREAT PROJECTยฉ, it is very likely that the artistic voice in the final product won't be 100% yours. It'll be probably be a very nerfed version of your actual abilities and taste. And people won't know that, and you need to be at piece with it.
4) Maybe the only exception to this is dealing directly with the client, they know you, and (usually) they're an individual. Some of my best clients are individuals, they have clear ideas about "what to show", but they 100% trust my judgement when I suggest what would look cool. Find those clients.
3) Most clients or studios will commend how brave/bold/clever certain media is (comic pages, animation sequences, narrative illustrations) WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY PUBLISHED AND DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE. But with you? Please make it as standard as possible, don't take risks, don't make the weird idea.
2) This will happen in a majority of projects. That cool shot with a unique angle? Change it to the boring one. The sequence with a series of dramatic color changes? Revert to the vanilla colors. Detail/minimalistic shots to give the eyes a break? Slap a detailed BG on every single one of them. Etc.
Little rant, maybe my artist friends will relate:
1) No matter what (visual) project you work on, you'll end up having someone (client, excutive, etc) doing everything they can to make your artistic work look as BAD as possible. They will try and undo every little cool idea you may have proposed.
