If you are looking for local music to get hype for #awp26, make it Dapper Dan Midas’s BEAUTIFUL GOWNS album. It’s Baltimore club, alternative, dance, rap - SO GOOD.

Since most platforms have implemented LLMs over the past year, the search function within them has been drunk. I am searching for a phrase in email & none of the words I typed are highlighted.

Is there specific research on this? I’ve read about β€œenshittification” - this feels like part of that.

Writers Who Run: An Interview with Tracy Dimond β€” Read & Run Tours Malissa Rodenburg interviews poet Tracy Dimond in this Writers Who Run column.

"Dimond’s poetry is emotional, but it’s also playful in a way that we all need as the world weighs heavier each day it seems."

I'm celebrating a pain-free 30 minute run this week by revisiting this very fun conversation I had with Malissa Rodenburg - thank you for reading <3 tinyurl.com/4k4t952d

When I was writing ALIENS ATTACK! I didn't think it was book about real life but here we are, under attack, so I guess even though there are zeppelin shaped UFOs shooting lasers at Troy and Lelaina from Reality Bites, this is a book about right now. Also on sale! masonjarpress.com/chapbooks-1/...

So, I’m thinking about writers who run running routes for @awpwriter.org with literary landmarks. When we run by University of Baltimore I’ll say, β€œyour favorite poet’s favorite poets went here: Steven Leyva, Tonee Mae Moll, Tafisha Edwards…etc etc etc.”

Thank you for the reminder of this context! Baltimore is going through a similar…transformation. The major city govt arts organization was doing programming & grants, it was not working well. The organization is still in the process of being untangled to better serve the arts community.

Today was the first day in almost 4 decades of life that I used "find and replace." My middle school had a class where we learned how to use Word and Excel. I have no idea how today was my first day doing this.
