Hi. I donβt know what was on the highway but I would not want to breathe it in. If you are having to deal with cleaning this mystery substance up and would like some respiratory protection please get in touch. We have N95s!

Oh brother. Spew this shit elsewhere.
I just need to say that David Coon was right this morning and I donβt give a flying fuck about the provinces credit score. What I do care about is the fact that $400 bought me like 3 groceries and Iβm going to need to sell a child to chase NB Power off.
Still alive. Picking up new hobbies. Hereβs a candy dish Iβm working on.
Oh so there WAS another option. Keeping actual humans under lights 24/7 was just the choice we were making.
I hesitate to do the math π¬ thank god for the Xolair patient support program.
Health issues related to Long COVID, even in Canada, and WITH health benefits through work, cost me over $8k out of pocket in 2025.
And I'm so thankful that I have a decent salary so I can sort of cover that, and I won't go into bankruptcy like in the US, but it's almost 10% of my take-home pay. π
God, I am cranky about these comments from the Premier.

Putting people in an ambulance bay is not acceptable Holt says with no effort to fix it. Make. Fewer. Patients. Start at the hospital. At the very least make an effort to end hospital acquired infections and quit making stays longer.
It was a listeners question to David McTimoney on infoam Fredericton this morning with Colleen!
@govnb.bsky.social is banging the βchronic absenteeismβ drum again. Funny that itβs peak flu season. And theyβre trying to blame parents instead of illness (which is the number 1 cause of absence). I hate to say it but the Holt government has done NOTHING new for IAQ. Only continuing slow Higgs work
Unless your plan to address chronic absenteeism plans to address the chronic illness factoring in I do not want to hear it.
As of Jan 1, 2026 we are no longer taking requests for masks. We will be hosting pop ups a few times a year across the province instead. Stay tuned for that information.
You can still borrow a CR Box for your events!
The link to do that is here. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
I recently moved my rocking chair to be in front of the window. Iβve got to say the cats are onto something. Looking out the living room window IS a top tier activity.
Iβve been on Xolair for 3 months now. My itchiness has reduced from 24/7 to 2 or 3 days a month. I cannot tell you how much that alone has improved my mental health. Fewer skin reactions too but Iβm still too afraid to try βbadβ foods because my food reactions are more severe.
This doesnβt actually need an answer because deciding to homeschool our kids has ruined us financially to the point that weβll never be approved for a car payment ever in our lives again. No regrets though. These kids are cool as hell.
My car is literally falling apart. I donβt even know how people find a spot to put a car payment in their budget. Thereβs just not enough to go around. Are we putting car payments on credit cards? Whatβs going on here.
Canβt afford to buy a generator but canβt afford not to have one at this point.
I bought a fancy candle holder a few estate sales ago and itβs making this power outage way more fun. Taking morning meds by candle light.
In 2018 I fell and broke my ankle into one billion pieces. I opted not to go under general anesthesia for the repair and got a spinal instead. I was home in my bed 10 hours after gracing the hospital doors. Big fan of awake foot and ankle surgery.
Turns out the new normal is just being told not to go to the er and being made to feel bad when you get there and take up a seat even though you have no other options because the province canβt provide you with a dr or your town with a walk in. Sure glad we rushed back to this.
Ps favourite plane is coming in today. Whereβs the best spot to get a view of the runways at #yfc ? Iβve got a boy whoβs desperate to see a 737.
Iβve been sick for 3 years and I just got my first abnormal blood result. Low ferritin. Maybe thereβs some big iron based mystery to uncover.
Final day for donation matching - today would be an AMAZING day to donate to Donate a Mask Canada!
It's exasperating to see so many people I know suffering from viruses, with both short and long term symptoms, within the context of knowing what they have been doing (travelling, big social gatherings, voting conservative) and what they have *not* been doing (wearing a mask, ever).
We have some mask distro news.
As of Jan 1 2026 we will no longer be using the request form. Instead, we will be offering pop ups in cities across the province.
Weβre busy volunteers and weβre burning out.
If weβve helped you, please tell @susanholtnb.bsky.social. Masks should be free for all
I need to be folding laundry but thereβs just so much of it. Maybe tonightβs the night the laundry fairies come. Better leave it just in case.
I think itβs so fascinating that there are people who think theyβre important enough to decide who is and isnβt deserving of housing. Study these people.

You can watch my mental health decline through the last 6 years of my Spotify wrapped. My listening minutes are down to 45k this year. This devastating mix was brought to you by giving up. I would be willing to bet TTPD was entirely the black dog. I do hope itβs so shitty there.
Itβs giving Tuesday! Please consider donating to an upcoming fundraiser.. in the middle of Canadian winter, raising $ for programs that help people experiencing homelessness , and youth programs that help prevent it. secure.e2rm.com/registrant/F...
