A scan of a painting depicting a moth creature with a fox-like head. The painting is done with acryla-gouache on an 8โ x 10โ canvas, using red as an underpainting and layering orange, yellow, dark brown, and muted green over it. Iโve attempted to use large strokes and a drybrushing technique to create a sense of energy and movement (though whether I succeeded is up to the beholder)! The moth pattern and coloration is based on the real life specimen, โHyalophora cecropiaโ.
