Better late than never, but I'm concerned that it took you 7 weeks after the EO was originally put out to make ANY statement regarding it.
Will you ever do a metro townhall? Because I never see any information about that, yet a large percentage of your constituents are not rural.
And yet you still haven't made any statement regarding Trump's unconstitutional EO to destroy the Department of Education. It was a month ago, and I've called your office nearly every day since. How hard is it to make even a 1 sentence post regarding how you feel about it?
The world may be falling apart, but you should still use this post as a reminder to please wash your water bottle. All the nooks and crannies. Please. You deserve a clean water bottle.
I would like to know why it has taken you so long to post ANYTHING in regards to the EO to dismantle the department of education. It's frankly ridiculous at this point that you have been and continue to be completely silent on this issue.
Why have you made no statement regarding the attempt to dismantle the Department of Education?
Living in Minnesota with a toddler makes it really obvious how few places are open before 11am on Sundays... It wouldn't be an issue if it also wasn't super cold outside for half the year. Really looking forward to it being warm again and being able to go to parks at 8am on the weekends.
Sometimes I remember that kittens and puppies legally have to stay with their mothers for 8 weeks, but humans get a whopping 6 weeks (12 weeks if you're lucky, but that's not necessarily paid).
It infuriates me.
My coping mechanism this evening for dealing with stressful political news is to eat way too much ice cream and play old Nintendo DS games in bed under a pile of blankets. Is it the healthiest thing? No. But did it help keep me grounded when I was close to sobbing, and distract me? Absolutely yes.
Unfortunately not ALL meds, like they won't do the ADHD meds my partner takes since they're a stimulant, but I know Zoloft is on their list. It's a couple hundred dollars, but having a year's worth of cushion to literally keep me alive seems worth it if things go to shit even faster.
I'd say RFKjr can pry my Zoloft and Wellbutrin from my cold dead hands, but it feels wrong to phrase it that way since I'd already be dead *without* them... I think I need a better way to make my point.
Anywho, there's a company called Jace that'll prescribe you up to a year's worth of some meds.
Donβt buy stuff on February 28. Moneyβs the only thing these dicks understand.

"The Birds, the Bees, and the Elephant In the Room" by Rachel Coler Mulholland @lackofimpulsecont.bsky.social -- Absolutely phenomenal!
Any suggestions for #librarians or #libraries related accounts to follow on here? Would love to connect with others.
Also, is there a bluesky version of #booktok? I'm currently working as a corporate librarian and want to keep up on what's popular, lol. I need some silly books in my life.
I stayed home with my tot yesterday and we ended up at the public library for a while -- A storytime had just ended and there were a dozen+ cute lil' tots everywhere, and the joyous ENERGY was infectious. In these bleak times, joy is an act of rebellion. Maybe act like a toddler a little. #libraries
I'm interested! I'm a librarian in Minnesota.
The fact that I'm #94 in line on Libby for "On Tyranny" by @timothysnyder.bsky.social is a little bonkers, but makes it abundantly clear that public libraries are vital pillars of our communities that are constantly in use.
