County Pre-primary Convention, Thursday February 12, 6 pm at Farmington Civic Center

Each Ward will vote for three delegates except for Ward 3 which has 2 delegate spots. Each of our eight wards will have a table to meet and vote at. All county residents who are registered Democrats in San Juan County 30 days before the convention are eligible to run and vote at the convention. 7/7

The purpose of this County 2026 Pre-Primary Convention is for Democrats registered in San Juan County to elect 23 state convention delegates who will represent the county and vote accordingly at the March 7th State Pre-Primary Convention. 6/7

Delegate Responsibilities:
* Attend the convention, either in person or virtually over Zoom
* Vote for candidates seeking to be on the Democratic Party primary ballot (federal and statewide races)
* Vote on our parties platform and resolutions

Delegates vote for their preferred candidates running to be the Democratic Party's nominee for Governor, Lt Governor, Secty of State, Atty General, Treasurer, Auditor, & Land Commissioner as well as US Senator and US Representative. Delegates also vote on the DPNM platform & resolutions. 4/7

A candidate who does not receive 20% or more of the votes at the pre-primary convention is required to submit more signatures to make it on the ballot. Simply put, our pre-primary convention determines who makes it on the Democratic primary ballot for the June 02, 2026 primary. 3/7
