Will miss these giant, just crusty enough, lightly fluffy, buttery croissant from Millvale.
My favorite spot in Pittsburgh since 1998. Managed to score a few last (unmatched, IMHO, even in France) croissant, key lime pie, chocolate cake and a couple of those shortbread cakes in the last two weeks.
I often wonder how much of the reason I loathe javascript almost universally is just that I'm old and set in my ways and I like compilers and how much of it is that every single thing about how the javascript language and tooling stack works is just wrong.

When I think about it too hard I find it puzzling that we are obsessed with programming computers in natural language because we can't even talk to other humans in natural language and communicate correctly.

My hottest/most contrarian take about software pricing is that subscriptions are _fine_ and the one time pricing models were never right given the support and upgrade costs that are required just to keep the software running at all over time.

Am lucky enough to have the PSO as my "local" band. They played the Dvorak 8 this year and it was great.
Saw the PSO do the Bruckner 8 twice this weekend. π₯ both times. A little extra fire this afternoon.
Fired up for an 80-85min symphony tonight!

I wonder what they would make us pay for streaming with actually no ads ever instead of "no ads except where we decide to throw in a minute and a half of unskippable garbage to make up our margins."
I declare my distaste for (essentially) the LLM vision of the world, but 20 years ago (almost) before LLMs existed.
