Lunch at Ranbetsurou. This is a suppon (soft shelled turtle) ramen with unagi (eel), and plum juice; terrific and served in a unique brass metal bowl atop a small lit flame stand to keep it piping hot

Visited the Kiseki knife manufacturer and picked up their santoku knife, whetstone, and cutting boards. Kiseki makes industrial cutting equipment but are dabbling in knives known for their incredible strength

The front of Tsujiya restaurant. There are ponds to theft, right, and directly on your left inside where live eels can be seen.

Unagi bowl, with soup and pickled plum, at Tsujiya. The restaurant has been operating for over 160 years. Unagi is considered food that gives you strength, required for swordsmithing. The eel was delicious, cooked over woodfired grills. Always try it with yuzu pepper!
