Next time you hear someone say health care for all Americans would be too expensive, remind them how much money is available to kick people out of the country, and ask why that is vastly more important to the government than our citizens' health.

Sunday social media day of rest. I'm working on my book, not reading one, but still. The book comes out in October, is called 4 Nurses, and shows healthcare in the U.S. better than what most of us get right now. It is possible to fix our broken system.

Sunday is usually my Social Media Day of Rest, but today I’m posting a pic of the vigil for nurse Alex Pretti that I spoke at last night in Pittsburgh. You can see me, the crowd, and the river behind us. I felt so much hope at the event. There will be dark days ahead, but together we create light.

Why are ICE agents even allowed to carry guns? How is being able to kill people part of their mandate? Dems should disallow them from carrying lethal weapons--they don't need them and they agents are out of control.

I usually post that Sunday should be a social media day of rest. With the death of Nurse Alex Pretti, I’m not so sure about this Sunday, but a pic of my dog enjoying the snow here in Pittsburgh seemed good, too.
Went to an anti-ICE protest yesterday in Pittsburgh w/another nurse--beyond sad that ICE killed a nurse today with 10 shots at close range. It's time to stand up & speak up. Don't give in to fear. There are more decent people in this country than violent sadists. We are stronger than them, together.
I have always found this quotation inspiring. There are so many terrible forms of injustice, that MLK singled out health care says something powerful. It is inhumane not to care for the weakest and most vulnerable among us. A strong nation cares for all its citizens--that's how it stays strong.

I can't believe it's come to this--that we will let Native Americans, and lots of other Americans, starve to fund tax cuts for people who already have more money than they know what to do with. Going hungry in the richest country in the world. SMH.
