Pisses me off too. Machine learning is a cool field with lots of applications and genuinely one of the cooler things I learned about in school. Something about it's application toward generating human-like outputs seems to convince people LLMs are a new breakthrough worth going all-in on.
Yeah Iβm
Into anime
A very short-shorn, brown and white Shih Tzu. He is curled up on some blankets while staring directly into the camera.
He's always staring into my eyes.
Good thing I had my tetanus shot in the last few years. They make this things so sharp and it's filthy in there. Shoulda wore gloves.
I'm in the process of fixing my dryer, and of course it's a cracked blower fan in the fucking bowels of this beast. I have to take the whole drum out to even get to it. And now I have a bunch of dryer pieces on my kitchen while the new parts fix.
Right? It's insane how unprofessional the staff is. I'd get fired if I acted like that in my company's official channels.
If I have to sit through another rant about how lazy young people are again this week, I might dissociate so hard I never come back.
I wonder if this pilot program will find that people do indeed pee and poop. Let's give it a couple of years...
I also think often about the destructive power of a billion dollars. As we've seen you can use it to influence elections resulting in excess death like the USAID cuts that have killed hundreds of thousands. A billion dollars is like a rogue nuke in its destructive capacity.
personally im not standing in a circle with a guy who, by all generous accounts, seems to spend his life bumbling his way into all kinds of nazi hijinks
Fallout 1 death screen. A skeleton lays, partially buried in the sand of a desert. The sun is low in the sky, casting long shadows. On the horizon you can see a handful of mesas. The skeleton has its left forearm and hand raised toward the sky.
Live Jac reaction:
Is it multiplayer? I know there are still issues with anti-cheat support in the compatibility layers. I haven't had to deal with it though because I don't play much online multiplayer. Probably one of the biggest barriers for Linux gaming right now.
Circular orbits the move when having a habitable planet is the vibe.
Gonna start begining my days with a raw egg in a shot of whiskey and a beer like an old timey coal miner, just to feel alive again.
"Whee! I am deskilling myself and making myself obsolete" and then breaking vital shit in a way *they are no longer able to think about* because of that gleeful deskilling.
Imagine what this shit is doing to new, inexperienced programmers, the people who are meant to become experienced programmers.
The sirens do not have to be this loud, how have we not fixed this obvious problem? The sirens are too loud. Chicago, turn down your damn sirens.
My work is going to make me use this ass new OS, I know it. π
My steam deck made me curious about switching my gaming pc to Linux, so I set up a dual boot with Ubuntu and windows. I did eventually switch to Kubuntu because I prefer the KDE desktop environment, but I have not booted into windows in over a year. I'll probably repurpose my windows drive soon.
I'm not really a reptile guy usually but this guy is pretty cute. I love the colorful scales on his face.
Hard to have a deeper conversation with someone whose mind belongs to Rupert Murdoch and other billionaire pedophiles.
Always feels bad when you're in a conversation and someone says "I wouldn't mind paying my taxes if they used it for good things, but instead they waste it." And you just know they mean welfare, and not the whole surveiling, harassing, kidnapping, and murdering stuff.
Every war time slop account on social media right now:
π¨BREAKING: US MILITARY RELEASES COCKPIT FOOTAGE OF AMERICAN FORCES DOWNING MULTIPLE IRANIAN FIGHTER JETSπ¨
Today I have to hide my disgust for my father in-law who voted for Trump again last time, justifying it with "I'm voting for whoever is less likely to get us in a war."
busses works in mysterious ways. no mortal mind could ever fathom the motivations of these magnificent creatures. we know only that sometimes, if we are very lucky, we may board them. the time at which they arrive is between them and perhaps a higher power.
It's the only reliable way to stop them.
I started with a magic build and had fun, but I really enjoyed my strength build run after that, although it did devolve into *jump* *dual great sword bong* over and over until everything was dead.
Yeah, I've just been trying to focus on the family I choose to be part of my life and not the ones who I didn't but feel entitled to my life.
I relate to this. My family was real big on the whole blood relations being more important than anything stuff, but didn't make any effort to make their family a place I could belong. I couldn't wait to leave and I've had no desire to be back.
yeah iβm more concerned about the nearly 100 children they murdered but you do you
