“Cabaret” remains a masterpiece. Maybe the single best musical ever made, capturing the sensation of doing the cancan on the edge of the abyss.
A portrait of a decadent culture dancing towards oblivion, too lost in its own little dramas to see the writing on the wall.
Timely.

Professors will recognize this kid as the student who didn't do the reading but still has very strong opinions about how it's all "bullshit," except this time he's not the callow student who's going to fail your course, he's the reviewer who's going to cancel your grant.

Now that I've had lots of experience with my new version of GD MENU Card Manager, I decided to build a similar GUI SD card manager for the SEGA Saturn Rhea/Phoebe ODEs.
My current CLI tool (github.com/DerekPascare...) is fully functional, but nearly as easy to use.
Stay tuned!

“Technically”?
@ramiismail.com Can I ask you a (probably) dumb question?
Some time ago I searched for an Arabic fixed-width pixel-style font for a certain emulator (I know nothing of ME languages). I only figured out that there were none.
Could you tell me why this is not possible, or if I’m mistaken? TY.
1. What Mike says is 100% correct. This gives no idea of how viable Steam is as a launch platform for games in 2026 - despite remaining the best launch platform available.
2. $100K+ is going to be "success" in very limited contexts - a solo developer, or a small team outside of expensive areas.
Reminder that the only time Mastercard has flinched is when outrage was directed at them. Attacking platforms like SubscribeStar for Visa/Mastercard's extralegal censorship is exactly the deflection they want.
"What ultimately broke me and my Blizzard career was I got called into the CFO's office and he sits me down and he says—he gives me a date which at the time was 2020 and was going to slip to 2021, but at the time it was 2020—and he said: 'Overwatch has to make [redacted] in 2020, and then every year after that it needs a recurring revenue of [redacted]' and then he says to me 'if it doesn't do [redacted] we're going to lay off 1,000 people, and that's going to be on you.' And that was the biggest fuck you moment I've had in my career, it felt surreal to be in that condition."
This is a deranged thing to say to someone wtf. www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/ov...

This is hilarious.
Also, completely enraging.

I finally lost my shit about so-called AIs, LLMs, enshittification & everything fucking evil that @officialgrammarly.bsky.social is doing. I'm fucking furious, and not just about what 1 company has done. An open letter to Grammarly & the rest of the LLM hype machine www.moryan.com/an-open-lett...
Hey, alongside contacting your representatives, this seems like another thing worth putting a bit of your time into and sharing around. If we could get "reputational risk" taken off the table, even in this current climate, that could create a chilling effect on these kinds of policies
So, "Schrödinger no neko" isn't up your alley? How about a fully 3D JRPG about an amnesiac siren? This is "Shinkai densetsu Meremanoid". Already hacked the thing, got a half-width font, script dumped, the whole kit and caboodle.
Ping me if you know Japanese and want to translate it!
I recently sat down with the creator of the SNES port of Doom, and the Playstation emulator bleem! & bleemcast! This Friday the 13th at 7:00PM, rip and tear... into a 2+ hour interview with Randy Linden. Set your alarms! 👇
No soy nadie" y nadie iba a destinar carísimos recursos a investigarte .

We can never just admit it
Yesterday, we saw several discussions with a torrent of (real?) people defending game-key cards using the wildest arguments. Maybe we were speaking the wrong language the entire time. Let's try to illustrate the issue like this:
