Happy birthday!
Yep been feeling the sentiment a lot. Creatives were just asking me what the deliverables are right away before I could even pitch the strategy
Threads feels worse imo
Good to see all of the ad community here on BlueSky. My favorite thing to be apart of every year.
Thank you @grantawalters.bsky.social, @meggatron.bsky.social , @brianwaka.bsky.social and @himmelsblog.bsky.social for rallying us togethert
Till next year #PlannerBowl
AMEN
Product payoff was great, Muppets made no sense. Good for a chuckle, but could have done without it #PlannerBowl
I like the creative direction behind the Booking.com ad showing the juxtaposition of the showing the people in different situations. But Muppets? Really? Made my brain turn off #PlannerBowl
There's time left, but so far, no "all-timers" in this year's batch of ads. Same pitfalls that we've seen the last few years: too much reliance on celebrity, cramming too much in, kinetic editing/no sense of pace. The best of the bunch have been the zigs while others zagged. #PlannerBowl #SuperBowl
βThis Jeep makes me happy even though my name is Ford.β 10/10 #plannerbowl
Mostly because how WTF it was
"Why is Matthew McConaughey in every ad" just said outloud by 3 people at my party. Tells you everything #PlannerBowl
Weird to see that fire Poppi ad after it was stemmed in controversy today with the vending machines to the influencers #PlannerBowl
Maybe a reference to the spot or something, but yeah, just linking to the generic homes.com page doesn't do it for me either #PlannerBowl
Was waiting for the ice cream to melt watching that Haagen-Dazs ad. It was cute though #PlannerBowl
Lays and Taco Bell using photos from real farmers/fans. I think Taco Bell did it better but that's probably due to brand guidelines / the brief. #plannerbowl
Doordash tired to go for the "savings" angle, but made the things you spend the "savings" on look too luxurious. Missing the pulse on culture right now
Expected an Uber Eats ad, didn't get it was an AI thing until the end.
And this is why using celebrities can hurt your ads #PlannerBowl
Yeah I wish the can face roller were revealed after the spot, would have been more impactful
Eyebrows? Check
Mustaches? Check
Tonuges? Check
And wierdly shaped heads thanks to Tubi? Check
When are noses going to get their time? #PlannerBowl

Im surprised you liked Google Pixel 9 over Rocket
Homes.com is the best
Homes.com is the best

Novaritis
Pringles
Rocket
SquareSpace
Michelob

That little cameo, from a creative perspective, was good. No music, minimal action break from the previous cut. Gold
Trying to give commentary on a Nike ad is cheating. You know their copywriters are at the top of their game. #PlannerBowl
You can't win. So win. So fucking good. #Plannerbowl
Breast cancer awareness. EVERYONE stared and the message was loud and clear. I jumped at how clever and bold it was. Q2 winner ad for me. #PlannerBowl
Shame that people will think of Little Caesar's ad when the Pringle's one was better
The Pringle's commerical not only uses the brand equity right, but actually features good pacing and cuts of the products itself
Have to get eyebleach for the James Harden part though #PlannerBowl
