Crazy that this was so long ago and still sound so good

i post it on Instagram when I first made one and was SHOCKED by the reception it got. it went “tumblr viral” and posting it on insta made me garner thousands of followers.

i made “Adonis XIV” when I was very young and coming off a songwriting internship. i was going through some ridiculous stuff with the label and how they wanted to present me and also going through my first real breakup and uploaded my first solo song on tumblr, “Touch”.

project changed a lot of things for me. it got me on NPR, my first major playlisting, best R&B nomination ,best albums lists in 2022 and my first SXSW showcase (and a SZA notice that still has me in a chokehold).
