Another indelible Tom Noonan performance, seriously: Frankenstein in The Monster Squad. I was a Universal Monsters nut when I was little (still am), and that movie turned Frank into ET, but it wrecked me mostly because Noonan brought his trademark humanity and pathos to it.

A gifted writer, director & actor. His portrayal of Francis Dolarhyde in Manhunter was unforgettable.
It was deeply sympathetic, nuanced & disturbing. You felt for the deeply damaged human being inside the monster.
