I hope you all are starting the New Year off right by spending the whole day watching the extended editions of The Lord of the Rings.

Trying to let my failures this week bounce off of me.

Thank you! I figured out that I had to start on Geek & Sundry for the start of the Kraghammer Arc, and I just finished episode 2 of that. It's good to know that things change so drastically. I watched the Amazon animated show and really liked it which is why I'm giving the podcast a listen!

Apathy and cynicism is the enemy. They want to demoralize anyone who is paying attention, don't let them. Take time for yourself, be joyful, do self care - but don't disengage.

The reason A.I. is being shoved down our throats is shareholders want a return on their investment. Every company that integrates this crappy tech into their products knows you don't want it, but they've sunk too much money into it and don't care. Turn it off, don't use it, don't look back.

When your kid hits a growth spurt it's sad to see all the cute clothes they have go in the hand me down bag. But it's nice to see them have another life with a new kid in the friend group.

I had to write a cover letter for a job I recently applied for - which sucks, why are we still requiring those??? But I did not use AI, because AI is for losers. So guess what? I wrote that middling cover letter myself. It wasn't great, but it was mine.
