I've been working the last few weeks with @vrchat.com to bring @ubisoft.com's Rabbids expressions to life with face tracking and gesture expressions!
Absolutely honored to have contributed to the IP that got me into gaming when I was 4 🥹

Maybe GXR will be good too but have yet to recieve the remplacement cable from smasnug
Current babble's not there yet, hopefully someday they'll ship better models.

My galaxy XR finally arrived after 3+ months in the mail!
Somehow FedEx opened the box, ripped away some of the packaging and forgot to put back the one proprietary cable needed to power the headset.
Left to order and import a new cable cause Samsung didn't update their support page for GXR 😵💫

The creator had 7 packs of gestures with unique artistic direction, so I'm trying to honor it all with 7 packs of face tracking.
Blentree view makes the editor run at 5fps and currently sitting at 400+ blendshapes for face tracking alone.

Billing address is automagically set to france by paypal and that's not being registered properly on their website.
Paying with a credit card won't work either as they aparently only accept US credit cards and no security pop up apear :/
Maybe a hot take but I think that modular systems like Modular Avatar and VRCFury represent a threat to user generated content by limiting the transmission of re-usable skills for the sake of convenience.
Sort of closing the door that enabled one to learn and share their creations behind them

I feel like there's a tolerence in tech for people that do not respect boundaries and generally act shitty as long as they can get the technical task at hand done.
The art space has been much more satisfying in that aspect.

You can use project babble software with any camera, there's plenty of 3rd party ones to get your hands on until babble ships their units (hopefully their manufacturing partner actually delivers :/ )
I have seen people using literal webcams taped to the front of their headset have good tracking
Yeah nah, it's just that everyone uses a one size fits all template and don't know how their sculpts are driven so the intent gets lost if they don't do it in the one way the template wants you to do it.
Which is going to happen, different styles have different requirements and design guidelines
