If by "assertive" you mean "partisan and corrupt," then, yeah. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/05/u...
Right-wing radio host Sid Rosenberg calls Mayor Mamdani a "radical Islam cockroach"; WABC radio, owned by right-wing billionaire John Catsimatidis, says it will not fire Rosenberg. You can still be a gutter bigot in NYC, so long as your target is Muslim.

Accountability for Trumpism--for Trump, his family, those who collaborated with him and enabled him--should be fierce and should go on for a generation, at least.
"The Associated Press was attempting to get comment from the Spanish government immediately after Leavittβs remarks."
why the fuck would you publish an obvious lie from a notorious liar before getting confirmation from the people they're probably lying about
This man is a malevolent child. Shame on us collectively for letting him, and his boss, anywhere near the levers of power.
Yes. This is what I have in mind.
They could ram the message home by adding that "Ken Paxton's corruption and sexual misconduct is every bit as bad as Donald Trump's."
If this keeps up, Mamdani might be mayor for life. www.youtube.com/shorts/83BRH...
It would be really funny if Talarico and Crockett jointly endorsed Cornyn in the GOP Senate primary, on the grounds that Paxton is the anti-Christ.
Agreed.
Youβre right. And it hurts to see it.

Paramount is owned by techno-fascist Larry Ellison and his failson. You can help Paramount's collapse along by canceling Paramount+ and HBO, and by ignoring Warner Bros. movies.
Just FYI, here's empirical work I did with colleagues that deals with non-opinions in trademark surveys. scholarlycommons.law.emory.edu/elj/vol72/is...

We find this in all kinds of surveys. Itβs prominent in trademark confusion surveys, for example. In addition to contradictory opinions, those surveys are beset by βnon-opinionsββI.e. bc people donβt really have a belief, what they say is the product of the wording of the question.

And if the voters of my district, NY-10 are unwise enough to leave Goldman in office, heβll revert to centrist Netanyahu apologist the day after the election.
I'm more than 250 miles away from the Supreme Court's building at the moment, and I can smell the stink of corruption from here.
This was all foreseeable.
I mean, I am litigating against the DOJ now. I am watching them lose coherence in real time. They are under tremendous pressure, shedding lawyers, and having a very difficult time replacing them, especially with competent people.
Still short-term/long-term. At the rate this administration is losing power and coherence, I think the short term is likely to be pretty short.
Yes, but these firms do deals, and antitrust is a big part of that, and they are not helping themselves.
I take your point about Trump's informal power, but that's a short-term/long-term tradeoff and I think the administration's climb-down shows that the settling firms miscalculated that.
Really? As a former antitrust lawyer who did a lot of deal work, that would come as a surprise to me. If disciplined antitrust analysis isn't going to govern deals but rather who's in favor and who isn't, why invest in lawyers?
My post isnβt about whether capitulation was a good business decision. But, FWIW, deal lawyers also depend on the rule of law.
Havenβt heard anything yet.
What an incredible embarrassment for all the lily-livered law firms that surrendered without a fight. Their dishonor is indelible. abovethelaw.com/2026/03/doj-...
