Same if she blocked reviewers who gave her negative reviews like she’s a person too she is not obligated to log on every day and accept your personal criticism of her book. I’m very pro blocking people to curate a healthy(ish) online space for yourself and that applies to authors too
I’m no Rina Kent fangirl but truly I don’t think readers can have it both ways where authors are expected stay out of reader spaces and not crash out over negative reviews AND also expected to follow everyone who gave them negative reviews. Those things don’t work together well!!

One of my favorite authors I discovered recently uses AI covers and it’s so frustrating 🙃 didn’t realize when I first read their books but now glaringly obvious. The books are so good I wish I could shout about them from the rooftops but that won’t be happening unless they pay a cover artist
Truly hate tiktok shop I don’t ever see people talking about products they genuinely liked and aren’t getting paid to talk about anymore (which was pretty good at influencing me) it’s all ads for tiktok shop now 😒
I bought my first thing off TikTok shop yesterday and now my feed is absolutely flooded with ads 💀 and not even related to what I bought which was crystals, all these ads are crocs sandals and boob tape lmao
I ended up talking to some author friends and they lean pretty heavily on the side that it was probably just part of a formatting template they forgot to delete so I’m going to give it the benefit of the doubt for now!
I compiled this for me and my eclectic reading taste, my audience of queer book readers, and also my irl friends who prefer litfic and straight romantasy so just about everyone should be able to find at least a couple books to reads :)
