There’ll be lots of analysis of the Gorton and Denton by-election. But, it’s pretty clear that Labour’s courting of the right (Reform curious) has failed spectacularly and its lack of appeal to progressive voters (their base) has been a critical error. Time for them to fix both problems, urgently.
