Yeah I respect that, I am seriously considering it. If after I reach out to a few publishers, if none show any interest, then yeah, I'll take up a day job.
yeah, my savings was gone many months ago, I'm living off debt. It is not good for one's mental health. I am trying to see if any publishers are interested, if not I think I'll need to take a little break to recover financially.
yeah I definitely waited too long. and then I also entered NexFest too early. but I knew that as much. but I needed a boost regardless of if it was not ideal timing. currently trying to get all the materials ready for publisher hunting.

I was actually just looking into this the other day, July would mark 2 years. As for how far until launch. Well I recently ran out of savings so I had to pick up work which is really slowing down progress. I want to get something out before that 2 year mark hits!
Tried to get a physics based Grappling hook with rotational retracting. But... the Physics engine didn't like it. Anyone have any quick fixes? I have some ideas on how to fix it, but they are pretty complex.

Trying to decide which direction to go for fuel nodes. I like the visual of the crude oil sphere, but if you look at how the fuel looks in the tank behind the hamster, its orange. Trying to balance commutative design, & visual interest.

When I started playing with it, I had the same thought! Man, World of Goo was such a fantastic game!
As I was hiking in the woods in VT, in knee deep snow, a thought dawned on me. I could use the Node Based Softbody system I made a year ago to let the player dig! After a few tweaks, it is working pretty well! Thoughts?
