An adult industry company fought and won the right for fair banking access to all Americans.
Up until this month (August 2025), any American’s bank account could be seized (along with their $$) if the bank deemed them a “reputational risk”.

While I welcome nuanced thoughts on this personally, the main point of my thread is that nuance cannot be taken at this moment in time when human rights are on the line because this is a black and white issue to governments.
A porn group was behind this order that just passed that assures all Americans fair banking access.
And we cannot not mention the amount of queer/underground/punks that have held up this industry since it started. Independent (and big) porn companies are made up of these folks.
Even in today’s culture, while everyone watches porn & the OF baddies can pop off on IG… the way we actually exist in society is still marginalized.
Many performers have been denied mortgages or other basic traditional means of financing. I can’t enter into the USA right now bc of my work.
While yes, you might consider porn “mainstream”, it exists outside of the mainstream, almost opposite to it.
Performers of all income levels and studios have historically had their bank accounts seized, their social media accounts deleted, their children taken away by the courts because of “porn”.
There is no push for shutting down criticism of the industry, but we need to ask ourselves why are the voices of people not within it amplified 100x more than the marginalized workers who are? Why are biased conservative Christian orgs suddenly experts on this topic?
