Anyway, I've had a few strange nights since being on estradiol that are basically the opposite of what I experienced in first puberty. I don't understand it because it's all exogenous and controlled, but have described these nights as a health panic to a few folk now. @crimsonruari.bsky.social
And maybe that's my autistic self being raised on tmnt and cartoons in general, but there's a reason I took a strong liking to the Therian and Furry communities. Only recently did I start speaking to folk who openly identified as non-human gendered, and that could have helped me a lot decades ago.
And I still had no certainly on gender. I was firmly in my werewolf stage and body wrongness to me meant "why do I have to be *human*".
I did begin exploring gender stuff around that time, but it always took a back seat to the idea of being born wrong species.
One of the mysteries of my childhood were a handful of sleepless nights spent in agony, mid spring and summer. I now suspect those were my first experiences with biochemical dysphoria.
It was unique because it was both a physical experience as well as an existential one.
Mask was a fun toy set, kind sad mine are all gone. How are those biker mice comics? I wasn't feeling the TV show, but couldn't deny the furry vibe.
