Getting Started With Quantum Readiness and PQC Migration
This page collects the PostQuantum.com articles you need to kick‑off and run a quantum‑readiness program, end‑to‑end.
PQC migration is a program, not a patch. I just updated my curated quantum readiness starting list — from "what's the threat?" to "how do we run this like a real program?"

Switzerland Just Published the Quietest Quantum Strategy in Europe. It Might Be the Smartest.
Switzerland publishes its first national quantum strategy, betting on open collaboration and ecosystem depth over big-spend national champions.
Switzerland's first quantum strategy just dropped and it might be the most refreshingly honest national quantum document I've read.
No hype. The bet: don't race - be the place everyone wants to build.
Think CERN, but for the quantum stack.

No Single Law, No Single Excuse: How Canada Regulates PQC Without Saying “Quantum”
Canada's visible PQC guidance - three documents published mid-2025 - is just the tip. Beneath it sits a layered enforcement framework spanning financial regulation, critical infrastructure law, privacy...
Canada's post-quantum readiness isn't just three guidance docs — it's a layered regulatory stack (OSFI, CCSPA, PIPEDA, critical‑infrastructure & securities rules) that compels PQC adoption even without saying “quantum.” Essential read for CISOs. #QuantumSecurity #PQC

NIS2, DORA, and the EU Post-Quantum Roadmap
If you are a CISO under NIS2 or DORA, you are already expected to run a risk-management system that tracks material, evolving threats - and to implement “state‑of‑the‑art” controls appropriate...
CISOs under NIS2 or DORA: the EU's Post-Quantum roadmap makes quantum a material, evolving governance risk you must track. It's not "deploy X by Y"—it's about auditable crypto agility and timelines supervisors will use (2030–2035). Read: postquantum.com/quantum-poli... #PQC #CyberSecurity

The EU Just Wrote Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Into NIS2
On 20 January 2026, the European Commission published COM(2026) 13 final - a proposed directive amending NIS2 as part of a broader cybersecurity simplification package tied to the upcoming Cybersecurity...
EU takes a big step: COM(2026)13 would amend NIS2 to explicitly require Member States to include Post‑Quantum Cryptography transition policies in national cybersecurity strategies — turning PQC readiness from implied guidance into mandatory law. Read more: postquantum.com/security-pqc... #PQC #NIS2

Quantum Key Distribution (QKD): Why Countries Differ on Its Future
Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) - a method of securing communications using quantum physics - has become a flashpoint...
QKD vs PQC: Countries are split. Some (e.g., China) build QKD networks, while the US/UK - and companies like Google - favor post-quantum cryptography. The NSA says it does not support QKD for national security. Read more: postquantum.com/post-quantum... #PostQuantum #QKD

The CRQC Quantum Capability Framework
Detailed, end‑to‑end QC capability map for understanding what it will actually take to reach a cryptographically relevant quantum computer (CRQC)
Too many Q-Day predictions are “by vibes.” I’ve updated my CRQC Capability Framework - the evidence-based method used by national security analysts for years.
If you want to track Q-Day properly - QEC, connectivity, magic states, decoders - not hype: postquantum.com/post-quantum...

Linking Two Quantum Networks
A new paper in Nature Photonics by Natalia Herrera Valencia et al. (2025) reports a prototype quantum network that connects two previously separate networks into a single eight-user system. In practical...
New Nature Photonics demo links two quantum networks into one 8‑user system, routing and even “teleporting” entanglement on demand—using a programmable multimode optical fiber (under £100). Big step toward a real quantum internet. Read: postquantum.com/quantum-rese... #QuantumInternet #Photonics

My point was - you were right. There is no law/regulation anywhere that mandates public notification of cyber incidents that impact lives, well-being, environment, or economy. Authorities often have to be notified. But never the impacted public in a way that they would be in case of a data breach.

2/2 …(in e.g. a manufacturing plant) were caused by a targeted cyber sabotage, the incident was recorded as an industrial accident and neither the company, law enforcement, national security agencies (not-UK)…wanted to deal with it. It’s a tough problem. So let’s pretend it doesn’t exist.
