Well, there is a lot to know. I’ve got experience but I’m coming in from the project management and product development side. There are different tracks depending on what you’re doing but good to get a broad view too.

Sometimes, I find that developers who use page builders add a container to a column and then place multiple elements in the container and set the container to flex box, when they can just do that in the column itself. No reason to add a container into a column for vertical content. It's overkill.

It's what you do when you're an ethical human.

The client and her new dev are super lucky I did not remove the sites from Kinsta or they would be have been SOOL, because the Bluehost version was there but they would not have known what to do. I took oveer 3 hours out my day without compensation to help my former client recover from a disaster.

Did I fix the issue? Yes, just worked through it to see what was going on and I was able to restore Cloudflare DNS to poing back to Kinsta brining the sites onine again. Of course, I would never delete a client's site(s) until they were safely migrated.

I just spent 3 hours of my own time helping make it right and I'm super unhappy about it. I have my son today and I had to put him in front of a computer the entire time, which my wife is NOT going to be happy about.

the DNS entries were changed (I have no idea how because I didn't change them) and pointed them somwhere that the sites were not. Then, they called me frantic that their sites were down.

So, the client's person tried to migrate her multiside to Bluehost. They don't handle mulsite with basic plans. I didn't say anything because they were moving from my hosting partner, Kinsta, which does handle mulsites, to Bluehost, which doesn't. Of course, the migration failed and somehow...

Sometimes, clients get frustrated and think they're better of with someone else but they have no idea what went into their WordPress site. They hire someone who may be good a web desigjn but not good at hosting and sysadmin, especially with a multisite network.

Good luck. Been working with #WordPress for over 20 years now. Best thing I ever did. Well, I'm a DJ too over 40 years, so maybe it's the 2nd best thing I ever did!

Additionally, the unemployment rate in the coming weeks is going to skyrocket. They are also destroying people's lives in the process of all of this.

Much of the DOGE list of cuts, so far as I've seen on the list, are DEI programs. There are others I've seen on the list that I am even skeptical about, but they are pennies at the scale of the government's overall budget.

I am in full agreement government expenditures should be scrutinized and rescinded. I don't agree one man can march a group of 20-something software developers into government agencies without security clearances, government experience, and accountability to start cutting programs they don't like.

My new goal in life is to never knowingly purchase anything produced by a company controlled by Elon Musk. He has no business accessing any American’s personal data or making any decision to block any funding for anything already approved by Congress.

It really frustrates me when developers use page builders and then write custom code in a child stylesheet? Why use the page builder at all then????
