Unrelated to writing but today I found out that 'lava' in Chinese (岩ζ΅οΌliterally means 'stone sauce' and now I'm mad.
After a slight delay, cover art for 'Stranded in Faerie'. The idea was to contrast the vampire protagonist with the fae spheres' dark whimsy. The eyeball faerie remains one of my favorite illustrations. So happy with that eyeball!
Cover art for Journey 9. #WeirdWest is an entire sub-genre that mixes the Wild West mythos with fantasy, mostly horror, and sometimes even SF! It's shown here in Metis (the dread pony) and in Ari's slightly purple eyes.
THAT IS A PAIN AU CHOCOLAT YOU HEATHEN.
Lure yourself back to work by storing half-finished pastries next to your laptop! #BadWritingAdvice
Cover for Journey 8. This cover gave me the opportunity to ask for a vampire holding a clavicle-obliterating rifle.
To quote a certain abridged character: "Get the bitch a cannon. Bitches love cannons."
Artwork for the cover of Journey 7. We decided to shove Ariane in the background this time because USCT killing ghouls with repeaters was just too cool not to show. It's also one of the only two covers to show daylight.
Gentle tease for my fellow PF writers.

Art for book 6 of Journey. The purpose was to make Ariane subtly more threatening than the ghoul-like monster in the foreground.
Cover for book 5 of Journey: Going up in the Underworld. This is not my favorite one because it's less evocative than I'd hoped, but you got to admire how Antti conveyed movement.
Also, boom.
Cover for the Midnight Accords. For this one, I asked Antti to break the perspective with the tentacles. So if they feel weird it's by design.
Save precious writing time by adding your liquor directly to your triple espresso (if it's rum you're allowed to say yarrr)π

Ari with Namimata and John Doe overlooking the party, by Antti Hakosaari. Cover for the Shadows over Marquette.
The Eternal game cover
No better way to start my posting history than the cover art of what started it all: A Journey of Black and Red, first cover, by Antti Hakosaari. www.artstation.com/haco
The purple version was the first attempt but obviously it had to be red.
