@luminachannel.bsky.social? This might be a you game.
Whew, between Biomenace Remastered, Haunted Lands and Arksync, I feel like a kid again.
There was a very distinct flavor to DOS platform shooters of the early-to-mid 90s that has largely been left behind. Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks there was a spark to them worth nurturing.
Do you like obscure textless puzzle platformer games? Diegetic tutorials? Confusion and clarity? Fancy dressed dogs?
Boy do I have something for you, standing at 44 reviews.
What does the fox say?
Quite a bit, its all terrible and you're happier not listening to it.
Hi 26 years old now, I'm Kharne
...
Also happy birthday.
Bee stings: a real pain from the butt.
You make a point of avoiding them?
A garbage can on the sidewalk, with a sign that reads "not for household garbage.
Signs that raise questions.
I swear vtubing is slowly turning me into a Dark Souls boss.
Kharne the Grumpy Backlog Warrior, Man in the Trenches, Survivor of the Scarring Pits.
Stream over!
We got a boss first try! Kinda, it was a bit of a mutual kill but it counted!
Raid went out to Retronutcase. www.twitch.tv/retronutcase
Tonight, Retro, Yami and myself adventure is a highly stylized cartoon open world. ...End-what now? No, we're playing Wayfinder. www.twitch.tv/kharne83 #vtlive #goinglive
Hi going bananas, I'm Kharne!
A mint shake from scream truck. Topped with whipped cream and crushed Andes mints.
The truck came through today, so mint milkshake time.
*ahem*
Abs Tachyon.
One of the wilder discoveries I made through last night/today's Show & Tell thread was The Untitled Tower.
A scrappy, rough-feeling work of true obsession. The dev says 9 years of solo work, resulting in a 40-80 hour long(!?) platformer.
You might need to do this to install it in english though.
If it came out today, would it be called "The Walling Unalive"?
Whole trilogy is good, juat 3 is having an intro sale right now.
...ever play Amberland? That trilogy seems up your alley
A rookie in a clear plastic bag.
Today is a "lets get a brookie" kind of day.
Don't mind me, im just making a mess of your steam wishlist. :3

This game is incredible. 2D platformer with chunky graphics/hitboxes and a VERY zoomed in camera, which means you can't freely move and avoid everything (you can do it with mastery of the game's movement tho).
So much content with tons of secrets. Amazing!

Solving puzzles in this game itches a scratch that not many other games do. Itβs like turn based zelda dungeon puzzles, or something
Not great art or music, but it gets the job done. The well-designed levels and puzzles are the highlights
One that's truly special to me - Bladestorm!
Secretly last in Koei's Kessen series, trading Japanese history for European. The Hundred Years War, mangled Dynasty Warriors style. Pure dumb strategy-lite fun. Overhauled over the PS360 version.
Usually VERY overpriced. Often under Β£15 in sales though

It's almost both. Only 69 reviews (nice... Well actually no not nice).
Played through the entire thing in a week with my son in splitscreen. A very solid third person RTS with simple controls for the troops and a ratchet and clank x fortnite aesthetic.

78% positive. I don't disagree. This game is kinda a mess but it's really trying to do something unique. Weird but interesting combat system, utterly unique premise and theme with a story that GOES PLACES!
Akira Yamaoka on the OST too!
Check it out!
I hold up Alpha Protocol as a game I loved enough to get every achievement in, but I consider it a tough sell.
It's a game you need to learn how to manipulate into working. You learn which weapons and abilities are over powered. You learn when you can stealth and when not.
I'll also post Voidspire Tactics, every single one of Rad Codex's games are underrated in my opinion (save for Horizon's Gate) - this one is an extremely clever mix of CRPG exploration and console SRPG combat. I've never seen anyone else tackle the idea.
A lot of people knows about Cassete Beasts, BUT just a few bit know about its predecessor: Lenna's Inception. Has great music, 2 modes of playing (32-bit and 8-bit) and its cool af. The world is glitching, and the protag, Lenna, has to take the role of hero...
