Our military is in the state it is in because of 14 years of neglect by the Tories. Labour should have done more as soon as they got in power, but it takes years to turn around a navy. I think it is legitimate to ask why a bit more planning wasn’t made to forward deploy a Type 45 though.

Well I agree with regard to the Greens and their insane ideas about unilateral nuclear disarmament amongst others. But for a by-election that’s not a concern. For the GE more so.

I know political parties are mainly in it to win it, but really for the greater good Labour should drop hints that beating Reform is more important than them risking splitting the vote. This is only going to become more pressing as we approach the GE.
