I've had the same thoughts about this lately too. As a senior dev, I've only really started using AI in earnest in maybe the last 3 months. And it's definitely amazing at creating slightly suspicious boilerplate haha.

cFIREsim's successor (WIP, not released in any way), a financial/retirement planner that simulates outcomes.

I have it handling account types, taxes, the concept of people attached to those things, etc.

UI is tough for me, and I'm consolidating outputs, but it's coming along.

I remember meeting a few people at a conference that I had regularly interacted on social media with. They recognized me, but I paused and was like "hold up, let me look at your profile pic to connect the dots in my brain..." 😅

A direct line of laws that allows for arresting trans people without cause. I believe P2025 has a "porn ban" that checks that box.

We're privileged to have the means to leave, but are hesitant to uproot our kids.

I have a large user-base on a free tool, and I've been rewriting the entire thing into a much more complicated and useful tool, in hopes of monetizing. But I haven't been able to get it across the finish line... Hiring would be nice, but not an option.
